Gault at 50 Symposium
May 15, 2017 marks the 50th Anniversary of the In re Gault decision. Memphis’s own Justice Fortas wrote the opinion that changed the world for court involved youth. On Friday, April 21st, as part of a national campaign to recognize that momentous decision, the UofM Cecil C. Humphreys School of Law Children’s Defense Clinic will be hosting In re Gault: Inspiration & Aspiration at the Law School. Join us for lunch and a panel discussion presented by experts from around the country. The event is scheduled from 12:30p – 4:00p with a reception to follow.
TRAINING for JUVENILE DEFENDERS: Defenders with representing youthful clients involved in delinquency matters are invited to attend the Juvenile Training Immersion Program (JTIP): Pretrial Discovery Practice from 10:00a – 12:15p. (Registration is required.)
